Salt Lake City is a beautiful place to visit. It’s not a place you’ll want to visit without a rental car, though. Because of its wide open spaces and beautiful nature offerings, you’ll want to get around and see as much of it as possible. Since public transportation isn’t one of Salt Lake City’s biggest offerings, renting a car is the only way to go. Taxi rides would probably cost you more than renting a car and you certainly don’t want to spend your vacation waiting on a bus.
Instead, relax and enjoy the ride in your rental car. Make sure to get a GPS with your rental car and you won’t even need a map! Listen to your favorite tunes, roll down the windows and enjoy the breeze or carry on a great conversation while you travel around Salt Lake City taking in all the sights. Take a drive up to the slopes and ski all day, then drive into the city for a great meal and some shopping in the evening. Make sure to check out Olympic Cauldron Park, where the spirit of the 2002 Olympics lives on; or spend the day at one of several museums such as Pioneer Memorial Museum or the Utah Museum of Fine Arts. One thing is for sure, doing all of that by bus would be nearly impossible. Make the most of your vacation - spend it having fun!
