Salt Lake City is a beautiful place to visit. It’s not a place you’ll want to visit without a rental car, though. Because of its wide open spaces and beautiful nature offerings, you’ll want to get around and see as much of it as possible. Since public transportation isn’t one of Salt Lake City’s biggest offerings, renting a car is the only way to go. Taxi rides would probably cost you more than renting a car and you certainly don’t want to spend your vacation waiting on a bus.

Instead, relax and enjoy the ride in your rental car. Make sure to get a GPS with your rental car and you won’t even need a map! Listen to your favorite tunes, roll down the windows and enjoy the breeze or carry on a great conversation while you travel around Salt Lake City taking in all the sights. Take a drive up to the slopes and ski all day, then drive into the city for a great meal and some shopping in the evening. Make sure to check out Olympic Cauldron Park, where the spirit of the 2002 Olympics lives on; or spend the day at one of several museums such as Pioneer Memorial Museum or the Utah Museum of Fine Arts. One thing is for sure, doing all of that by bus would be nearly impossible. Make the most of your vacation – spend it having fun! Book a rental car before your trip to ensure that you have a memorable vacation in Salt Lake City.

Salt Lake City was the site of the 2002 Winter Olympics, but the city offers so much more than that. Of course, the city is home to the headquarters of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day Saints, and many of the nearby attractions focus on the church’s history. However, there are plenty of other things to do around Salt Lake City, especially if you are the outdoorsy type. If you want to be out and about, you’ll need transportation when you get there, and there are plenty of Salt Lake City car rental agents there to help.

Salt Lake City is home to a crowded event and festival schedule, and many of these events focus on Utah’s pioneer beginnings. However, the Sundance Film Festival is known worldwide for its introduction and promotion of independent film. Gallery strolls, and the Shakesperean Festival and the Folk and Bluegrass Festival are also there to entertain while providing a bit of culture.

If you like your festivals a bit more unusual, Salt Lake City won’t disappoint you. Bowling for Rhinos, the Jeep Safari, and the Railroader’s Festival are all great entertainment and a good way to spend a vacation- and with a Salt Lake City Car rental, getting there is easy.

When you are planning your next road trip, consider giving Salt Lake City a try. You’ve probably heard that it’s boring, but nothing could be further from the truth. No matter what you like to do for fun, there is something there for you!

One of the great sights available in Salt Lake City is Wheeler Historic Farm. It is an interactive working farm. It is a great source of entertainment and fun and a good way to spend time with your family.

There you will find out the history of the buildings and machines that kept the farm running in the 19th century, have a chance to milk cows and view farm animals. You are free to take lunch or dinner with you. There are picnic tables available.

It is also fun for children. There are animal pens where they can view the horses, cows, sheep, chickens and rabbits. In the Farm Machinery Exhibit Building you can find the equipment that was used by Henry Wheeler. The paths on the farm will lead you to ponds, wetlands and amazing flowers.

It is a wonderful place to celebrate your child’s birthday. There are special parties with wagon rides, feeding the ducks and party favor bags including treats and toys. The birthday kid also gets a special t-shirt. You are free to bring your food with you.

From June till late August there are summer day camps. They are available for children ages 6 to 12. The program comprises visits with the farm animals, gardening, doing farm chores, wood carving, nature walks and a lot more. But keep in mind that they are usually full, so if you want to put your kid there, better sign up in advance.

Wheeler Historic Farm is a brilliant opportunity to enjoy while staying in Salt Lake City. Don’t miss it.
